For businesses in Ontario and BC, the HST will start affecting you on July 1 of this year. BUT…if your business sells services or goods that will be installed or used after July 1, the HST is applied to the cost of these goods and services as of May 1 if pre-paid.

If your business is already registered for the GST, you will need to charge HST and in Ontario, businesses will charge 13%.
