For project management and collaboration, many of you use Basecamp. But are you aware of the various add ons and extras available? I’ll share a few of these below which are specifically geared toward remote teams.
This collaboration tool is useful for those who work in design or graphiscs. If your product is visual and your team members work from different time zones, this will enable sharing between your employees and their clients.
Does your company have various contact addresses including separate info email addresses for blogs and websites? The Mailroom can manage all of your incoming and outgoing email into one central address, making it easier for members of your team to access just the emails that pertain to them, yet keeping everything centralized for easier organization. Includes various features such as collaborative, customizable replies and notes.

Both of these will connect to your Basecamp account. Post messages and to do items or assign messages to a project from your email.
Check here for more extras and add ons as at this time there are more than a dozen time tracking and invoicing/billing/accounting apps that integrate with Basecamp. There are also various reporting and planning add ons that are useful in expanding your team’s capabilities.
