To run any business successfully, constant promotion is mandatory. Getting the word out about your coaching business may be a little different but the premise is the same. Having others realize that they need your services is the main point to get across.
Take advantage of all outgoing correspondence. Email, newsletters, invitations, notices of upcoming live events – these are all chances to promote your business. Whenever you are sending something out, make sure it includes the message that you want to convey about your business. Explain exactly what you offer and how your clients can benefit from your help.
Ask for feedback. Add more value to what you are offering by finding out what your clients want and need. What are they frustrated with and what they are hoping to accomplish? Match your services to their needs.
Write articles and send out newsletters. You can’t promote your business if no one knows you are there. Add webinars and seminars. Your newsletter is great for advertising these and will bring in a wider audience, many who have been thinking of hiring a coach but don’t know enough about what you do to take that next step. Give something away – encourage new clients with free offers.
Add a membership content site. Increase the value by having paid material that your clients can access through a membership. Everyone likes to feel special and new members may eventually enroll when they realize how much more the paid content offers.
Word of mouth still works. Your satisfied customers will spread the word. People still listen to what others advise and a happy customer is free advertising.
Take advantage of the internet. Social media sites and forums are another way to get people interested in your coaching business and give them the opportunity to ask questions. Social networks are also a great way to give freebies that will promote your business.
